Hi, I am Melissa Miller, owner of Beyond the Balance, LLC, a virtual bookkeeping firm dedicated to helping small- to mid-sized businesses maintain organized financial records and gain greater clarity around their finances.

With more than 20 years of experience in bookkeeping and banking, I have worked with both for-profit businesses and nonprofit organizations. My passion for helping business owners with their finances began at an early age. As the daughter of business owners, I saw firsthand the importance of accurate recordkeeping and having a clear understanding of your financial position when making business decisions.

My goal is to take the stress and uncertainty out of the numbers so you can focus on running and growing your business. From day-to-day transaction tracking and account reconciliation to organized financial records and clear monthly reporting, I handle the details with care and attention to accuracy. I use QuickBooks and a secure client portal to facilitate efficient communication and confidential document sharing, and I strive to explain your financial information in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way.

Outside of bookkeeping, I am a wife and mother who enjoys spending time with my family, hiking, working in my flower beds, and reading. I believe those same values of reliability, care, and attention to detail are reflected in the way I serve my clients.
